Casual Saturday Look

I know I am slacking on my makeup updates and face of the day kind of sharing, so here are I am sharing with you the look I am currently wearing - "My casual Saturday Look". I don't wear makeup as much as anymore... want to get back in the game of making time for myself and the things I love doing.

This look is very easy to achieve and it took me around 15 - 20 mins to complete it. No heavy concealing or foundation just contoured the sides of my cheek & nose and my jaw line to minimize the double chin appearance. There is nothing to be shy about having a big nose or double chin....just make it up with makeup.

I have been searching high and low for the Nivea After Shave Balm all over town and I finally found one but it is not the sensitive version that all my favorite beauty gurus have been raving about. I found this at Watsons, gosh I cannot remember the price...If I'm not mistaken it is around RM 20 something.

I really like this product, I have facial hair and I remove it every 2 days using all the sophisticated chemicals - facial hair removal creams. My hair is dark and so are my facial hair, If I dun remove it frequently it will leave black rash like bumps on my face - I think they are hair stubs. The cream only takes off the most top part of the hair leaving behind the roots that like to sabotage my appearance. At this point, I must stop and thank my dear hubby for all the tolerance and acceptance. He has not shown any form of disgust. I am truly blessed to have him as my life partner.

Facial hair removal creams are very potent, they do tend to break and dehydrate the skin. I have been using many different brands in the longest of time. Never found one formula that actually shows some care on the face. The Nivea After Shave is now my new found "Holly Grail", I truly mean it....it just hugs and comforts the skin. Very hydrating and makes my face feel supple. I do add on some moisturizer over it.

The balm contains Vitamin E and Provitamin B5 that helps with skin repair and regeneration after shaving. Sounds too fancy for a man's product. I am loving every bit of it; definitely, definitely a repurchase for me. Oh yeah it smells like a man, yummy you say.....totally!!. The scent doesn't linger as much, very strong upon application but disappears as I layer up makeup. It has been 3 hrs now, no itchiness or oil build-up. Let's see how it feels later in the evening.

My Verdict : Amazing - 5 «««««

Other products used are :
  • Olay Total Effects Moisturizer
  • Mary Kay Liquid Foundation in the shade Bronze 1(I mix both and then apply it on my face & neck)
  • Avon Simply Pretty Loose Powder
  • Some generic contour pallet that I bought from Laazada
  • The Face Shop Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown
  • Nyx Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Blue
  • Himalayas Black Jumbo Kajal Stick
  • Kate Eyeshadow
  • Tarte Mascara
  • Clinique Chubby Stick in the shade Super Strawberry
My fav way to add some glam to my look is by adding coloured liners instead of colourful and vibrant eyeshadows. I alternate colour liners, sometimes I just line the bottom water line with a coloured liner instead. Trust me, it just makes the eyes pop. I keep the overall lid colour always on a neutral tone - nude or skin like tones works best for this look. You can still look glam at work in a subtle way. Always, go light-handed when applying eye makeup, it makes the look more natural and flawless (Just my personal preference).

Hope this helps you rock your Saturday or any day. Make time for yourself, cause if you don't no one else will. It will show that YOU actually cared to look as good as you truly are. I am not saying make-up is a must, making time to bring out your beauty; inside-out is a MUST.

I am delighted, honored and also inspired to write about a soul that doesn't know the meaning of the word "GIVING UP" .  We tend to complain mostly about the things or environment that we are not blessed with. We tend to sideline everything good our creator, parents and many of life's teachings that we are generously given. Often, we overuse our power to procrastinate but never really fully utilize the ability to  express our gratitude for the blessings we have and received in life. I personally do procrastinate, complain and constantly debate that life is not treating me kind. I never actually realized, that I am exactly where I am today of my own doings.  If the doings are of any good, I would be able to live my life to the fullest and struggle would me nothing but a stepping stone to greater success to me. Hello my loves, thank you for catching up with me via my blog. I had a great weekend, how about you ladies?  I met up with my new found friend; a beauty guru/blogger. He is none other than Harivain the founder of Fierce Paint ( Beauty Blog ) https:// fiercepaint.wordpress.com / .  Our meet up was a casual one and he is an amazing person. Okay, where do I begin? This young man, is an Odissi Dancer too. He has known makeup since his younger Odissi days. Can you relate to why I say he is a ...

Happier @ Home

As the post's title suggest, I have been home from 22 July 2014 till to date. Is not me enjoying my time off while I take up my new job. I was attacked by a nasty bug that kept me running back and forth from home to clinic and later to the hospital with a nasty high fever. With the fever comes admission, with the admission comes the pricking and extraction of blood to run all possible test to identify the culprit. Guess what all the blood works look clear and praise the lord not malicious virus residing in my system but defiantly  a curse bug that ran me down. I lost 5 kilos people in 2 weeks plus…wait a minute 3 weeks now. Expected isn't it? Fever, low BP, vomiting and diarrhea….and now the body pain is unbearable.  Well  told myself, this cannot go on. I Decided to take the first step coming out of this " I am sick" mode. I started putting some pressure on my back bone, sitting to do my reading rather than lying like a spineless worm. My dear bel...
